Blistered Green Beans Recipe - These green beans make a quick and easy side dish! Ready in minutes and a delicious favorite! // addapinch.com

Green beans were the star item in our local CSA box this past week and I have to admit that I was absolutely giddy when I saw them. I’ve tossed them into fresh green salads and crunched on them with a bit of hummus throughout the week, but one of my family’s favorite ways that I served them this past week has to be these easy as can be skillet blistered green beans.

Seriously, they couldn’t get much easier if they tried!

I added a little olive oil to a skillet over medium-high heat and then tossed in the fresh green beans. Within less than 15 minutes, these delectable beans were ready for serving. They were crisp-tender with just the perfect amount of charring from the hot skillet.

Once they were ready, I sprinkled them well with salt and freshly ground black pepper and off to the table they went.

So, if you are looking for a delicious, quick and easy way to serve green beans, you may want to give this recipe a try! I can’t recommend it enough!

    Hi Robyn!

I hope you don’t mind, but my comment isn’t for the green bean recipe…it’s for your Southern Bread Pudding. I just had to let you know that I have wanted to make it ever since it was shown on your website. I made the bread pudding today, and it is delicious! I confess I didn’t make it with the loaves of bread that you bake. I have been saving and storing the ends of a loaf of cinnamon bread in the freezer to make the bread pudding. This recipe is wonderful!! My husband and I really enjoyed it with whipped cream. Thanks for a great website and your outstanding recipes.

    1. I’m so glad you loved it, Fran! What a great idea to save those ends. It sounds just perfect! xo

  2. I love green beans. I’ve been making them like this for a few years now. In the winter I buy frozen beans. Frozen beans are so good almost like fresh, yummy.

    1. I agree, Anne! I definitely head to the freezer section when fresh aren’t available! xo

  3. I love a good, healthy simple side dish and this one looks incredible! I am going away with friends this weekend to a beach house we rented and this sounds like to perfect thing to make one night for the group! Thanks for sharing 🙂

    1. I hope you have a fun and safe trip to the beach this weekend, Julia! I love super simple recipes like this one, too! I hope everyone enjoys it! xo
