Mustard BBQ Sauce Recipe from addapinch.com

This Spicy Mustard BBQ Sauce is a delicious combination of spicy and tangy. It’s so delicious on so many meats and foods, but I especially love to eat it with chicken or pork. I make this to serve alongside my other bbq sauces when I have a cookout with friends and family. It has just that perfect amount of zest and everyone always loves it!

Spicy Mustard BBQ Sauce

For as long as I remember, I’ve always loved my Mama’s Coca-Cola BBQ sauce. It is what I grew up on her chicken, meatloaf and so many other dishes. But then, on a trip to South Carolina after my husband and I were married, I ventured over into the other side of BBQ sauces – away from the red and sweet to the yellowish orange and tangy. While I won’t say that it replaced the BBQ sauce that I’ve loved since I was a little girl, I readily admit that when I now love to make all sorts of BBQ sauces at my house depending on what I’m planning to serve. I also like to make a selection so that guests have an option.

If you are looking for another BBQ sauce to add to your line up for an upcoming party or just to try something a little different from your usual sauce that you serve, you might want to make this to try as an option. It is one that I certainly enjoy!

    1. I would keep it refrigerated in an airtight container for about a week, Monica. I hope you enjoy.

  1. 5 stars
Omg, so easy and so good. Was looking for a standard bbq sauce, wanting to turn a pork roast into a bbq pulled pork sandwich. Saw this and was immediately enticed. Had everything. Through it together. Simmered it. It’s delicious. I’m always looking for easy and tasty and this checks both. Lol. Don’t try and taste it while it’s still simmering. That vinegar and acidity can make you lose your breath. 🙂 i’m also going to baste some drumsticks in it. Yum. Dipping sauce. I’m already wondering all the delicious ways I can consume this sauce. Salmon. And I saw the comment about Dijon rather than standard prepared mustard. I’m going to have to try that next time. Thank you.

    1. Thanks, Michelle. I agree with you. This BBQ sauce is amazing with so many different foods.

  2. I just finished making this sauce and I can’t wait for dinner! I used Dijon instead of yellow because I didn’t have it. I’m going to use this on crispy tofu. I’ll have extra to dip the roasted potatoes in as well. I’ll definitely make this again just to have on hand for chicken and pork as well.
